Anybody combine middle school band with high school band?

How can the attorney you work for make your life easier, make it easier to do your job, make you less stressed?

Anyone here work in-house and sit in an open office environment? I sit next to accounts receivable and some marketing folks and can’t focus even with earplugs in. Any advice would help.

I work for a global, top tier tech/consulting company. Have been there 5 years. I have my MBA. I moved from client delivery into HR role last year. I just received a zero increase to my salary. I am a high performer. I was expecting 2-3% merit . Salary is 93k. Need an honest outside perspective of what to do. I feel as though my loyalty & high performance count for nothing. district is asking us to hand out instruments to kids before school starts.... but they are untested assigned kids..... they tell us to do this at the same time we are supossed to be in district training. then they say if it's a problem just do it earlier. what happens if you give a beginner a school instrument before they actually start instruction? Guess we will find out

I'll go first- last school principal with no musical training forces all 7th grade to do band and said in oreder to get them interested in playing an instrument I need to get in front of them and play every instrument for the students and talk indef about them each day. Meanwhile they would be popping in to make sure I'm teaching that way because I wasn't trusted 'to do as I'm told.'

I’m a certified PE health teacher and we have recently moved to a small town in Nebraska. They have asked me to be a full time sub in 6-12 choir and band (only opening and they can’t find a Music teacher) I know nothing about band or choir. Considering a move, help! I teach k-12 vocal music at a school where I have/had a vision to improve the culture of singing (very sports focused small school) to build a choir program, which will take several years (2 years done). Been working diligently with my elem. music classes to create a climate where students are comfortable/willing to sing. I'm estimating 3 years to see middle school students buy in, and 5-6 years before my high school program sees any fruit of that labor. Stay? Move on?
