Low. I placed hrbps with 5 yrs exp in TX and NC in last 3 months 120k to 130k.
Thank you for this perspective. Even if I get promoted mid year it would likely only be a 3% increase.
93K with an MBA? That sounds like a rip off
You might be a the top end of your salary band for that position having moved from your old role. Did they adjust the salary for your new position when you moved from Client Delivery? Is an MBA required for your role? Do you have any HR certifications? How is your salary compared to your peers in the same role? How are the rest of your benefits? Do you work remotely? How is the company doing? The cost of group healthcare has increased significantly.
That being said, with the amount of inflation and being amongst the great resignation is pretty lame on your employer's part. L
Thank you so much for your response. They did not adjust my salary but stated that I would have a viable career trajectory and growth opportunities. Which I have since learned is not the case. Minimal growth unless someone above me leaves. No MBA required, it was recognized as a differentiator when I started bringing me in at a higher pay than peers which has since leveled. I do not have any certs but there is no reward for having them in my current role. I work remotely. Peers that are client facing make higher. Peers in the HR space likely may higher due to being in larger metros. The company did phenomenal this year.
Rising Star
I'd start looking for roles so that if you get an offer you could turn around and tell your current employer that you're off market. Either use it to negotiate where you are, or leave.
Even if you don't get as far as an offer, you can better understand the market by speaking to recruiters. Use that market data to negotiate for raise.
Seconding this. Consider the questions HRC1 posed above and if your qualifications and situation don't warrant an increase at your current company, look at your options. You might be able to create your own opportunity if you can show them an offer from somewhere else - if they can't match, time to go.
There are tech recruiter openings at PwC that pay more. Look for manager level ones.
Thank you for your help here. Appreciate the tip!
When you transitioned into your new role, did you negotiate for any new salary or salary timeline?
It was a completely lateral transfer. No impact to current salary. I should have gotten far more explanation and clarity on the 5 year plan. They needed help, I was willing to fill the role. Now that I’m in the care in relation to my career trajectory seems to no longer be there
