Anybody working in accounting/finance that are overemployed? Curious about if it’s possible in our field

Yes, it’s very possible.

It’s possible, but there are a ton of things to consider. When I first started thinking about picking up another job, I had to make sure that it didn’t overly interfere with my current one. Also needing to make sure that I wasn’t stressed out and trying to achieve the impossible. I’d just say to be realistic when thinking about it.

Can you share your job titles for each job and how you ensure you aren’t in a gray area with possible conflicts

Some Business Intelligence/Analyst roles are very data heavy. I wonder why these roles do not have the term “data” in them, and wonder if it’s to keep the salary lower than it should be. I have colleagues doing intense data science tasks as BI Analysts, and can’t help but feel indignant on their behalf because when hearing their job title, one would underestimate their technical ability.

How difficult is it to juggle a remote role with a hybrid role?

My current role is hybrid with at least two days a week in office. However, with the potential economic downturn, I'm considering holding on to the role to supplement my income.

I'm new to the overemployed movement, so I'm evaluating the feasibility of holding onto the hybrid role and the remote position.

I am wondering if I can do this. It feels daunting but also I’ve accepted an offer from another company but don’t know if it is what I want but I think I also don’t feel comfortable in my current situation. I wonder how long I could maybe do this but not sure.

I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like. I’ve kept J1 because I’m still on the bench doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. Does anyone have experience or advice?
