Anyone completely lose all interest in client service after returning from parent leave? How did you plan your exit and are you happy with your exit choice now?

I don't follow pop. culture anymore, no longer actively follow team sports (but sporty myself) as I consider it bread and circus for the masses and don't rly enjoy work drinks... Am I doomed? Do you consider it ethical that his career counselor is intentially spreading the information to his colleagues and to other consultants from other companies in the project? What can he do about it? Specially that he considers the potential layoff is purely based on the current situation (chargeability was low) and not on his performance (they said that his contribution to BD during his bench time was low)?

Just got a lateral hire offer for a Sr Associate role with BCG. Contract states that I can go for Consultant promo in 12 months. I'm interpreting this as, if I don't make the promo threshold in 12 months, I'd be counseled out. Is this a reasonable assumption? Or would I get a few more months of time to work on feedback?
