I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

But the inner circle is only worth it if they stay in power. My mentor was in the inner circle so I was adjacent to it. When the “head” of the inner circle was shown the door, the rest of the circle had to exit gradually as well.
Questioning? Absolutely. As a junior partner do I have a lot of options? No.
OP. That has always been the job. Nothing you mention there is “new” and I’ve been at this a long time.
What’s changed? Those have been the expectations forever.
It’s still “worth it” if you enjoy the work - but that doesn’t mean it’s the only worthwhile path. I don’t think the expectations have changed - but I do think the delivery realities have.
Assuming P1 means how AI entered the scene and is causing a lot of myths and misconceptions around delivery cost reduction

Very good topic OP - and questioning myself the next decade. Somewhat agree with others that expectations are somewhat stable although retention is harder because of increased optionality. However financial return is not that appealing anymore in my case
If you're prepared and capable of doing all these things for any given brand, why not do them for your own brand?
True, but you have to start from somewhere, and it'll be at least 10x worth it on the long run if things work out
