I've done product design, design strategy, research and product management and I'm uncertain what to do next.

I've gotten the sense that discovery/early stage research is an area AI is not attacking, but I wish I could pay someone to give me guidance. Not a career coach with an exercise saying 'what are your goals', but someone saying 'considering what you've done, go pivot into x'. (Don't suggest ADP List - it's been useless)

What would be a typical salary for a junior in house counsel role (3 yoe) at a publicly traded company in a secondary market (think Austin, Tampa, Charlotte)? I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? Or just chill out? I just feel very confused. Are a lot of full time jobs like this?
