Fedex is kinda expensive, so I’m looking for cheaper alternatives if there are any.
UniRelo- not sure if they cover Chicago, worth checking
In that case look for freight forwarders. Sea cargo will be your cheapest and best bet
Yes, I was in the same boat with visa issues and had to move continents ( NYC to Bangalore) and they did it right. Door to door without a problem. Their rate will not include the customs duty at port of entry of goods, that’s the only watch-out. And of course this is shipped not air-dropped, so expect a 3 month timeline to obtain your goods.
Try USPS they have good coordination with India Postal Service. I got some doc in 1/5th of cost in 1.5x of Fedex time
P1 - thanks! I’ll check it out
Garuda I think works well
My dad had Garuda and it never worked ! 😂
USPS the cheapest so far for me. Garuda from India for years and not had any issues. Really important documents would use Fedex
I have boxes of stuff to be shipped. Visa issues so relocating :) thanks all!
Thanks A1!
M2 - thank you! Their quote seems reasonable, have you shipped with them before?
Perfect, thanks M2. I’ll likely do the air drop option, just need my stuff sooner.
