I’m a newer registered nurse (2 years) and want to get into remote work. I keep getting denied due to lack of experience but to even get the job I have now (case manager) the company knew one of my family members and they gave me a chance to interview because of that. For these remote companies where I don’t have connections how can I transition over?

Corp/securities associate and lateraled to a 40-50 attorney firm earlier this year. I’m a non traditional candidate and considered a 3rd or 4th year and make $200k base. Waiting on raise/bonus info but can’t help but wonder if I could be making $100k more at a larger firm and working similar hours. I put a premium on the people I work with and have gotten a good rhythm here as well as built up a good rep so far. For reference I have billed avg. 180-200 hrs a month. Any insights?

Additional Posts in Texas Teachers

What are your experiences with DAEP and alternative learning? How does it work at your school?

Let’s get connected Texas teachers!

I am a California teacher looking to relocate. My son is pushing for Boerne. I have spent most of my life in small private Christian schools and loved it! When I moved to public school the large class sizes and trauma/sped students filling my classroom burned me out. I moved to homeschool this year (with my same district) and love it!!! I am curious about teaching in Texas. Class sizes, special ed, private school, etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Are there any Texas teachers on this forum that teaches Principles of Education and Training? I would like to pick your brains.

Hello! I am a K-2 teacher in California. My family is researching our options in other states. We are looking for a more affordable, red state. My 19 year old son is very interested in moving to Boerne. I would like to know what it’s like to teach in Texas. How is the morale? Class sizes? How difficult is it to get a TX credential? Do private schools pay horribly? Thank you so much for any info!

Have any of you heard that all Texas teachers will need to be ESL certified in the next couple of years? I have not heard this, but a teacher friend told me it looks to be going that direction.

Hello, I am working on getting my intervention specialist license. I am wanting to move to Texas. How long does it take to get a Texas teaching credential? Does everyone have advice on the best way to go about this. Thank you

I am applying for jobs in TX for this next school year. I am specifically looking in the Killeen, Copperas Cove, and Temple area. Any advice on a school district?
