I have a VC HR round tomorrow and I am quite nervous to negotiate a good salary. Also is there a way to extend the joining for a couple of weeks after my LWD, I want a little break before I join again.
Any tips or suggestions?
Thanks in Advance 😊

I’ve been in car sales going on 3 years now. It’s had its up & downs. We are dealing with an inventory crisis. We normally sold 200+ new cars a month, right now we are selling 30-40. Most of our vehicles are sold before they hit the lot. Our used vehicles are double the price they were years ago. It’s been insanely stressful and I think I’m ready to get into a career with a salary & weekends off. Although, I do not have a college degree. What kind of jobs should I be looking into?

I'm pursuing my master career coaching cert and need to do a recorded 45-minute session. You don't have to be identified if you don't want to.
The single session is all I'm asking but could certainly turn into a longer lasting coaching relationship (at no cost), if you like.

Wondering how other companies do roadmap planning. How often are you revisiting it? What tools do you use to document it? Who do you share it with? Who approves your roadmap? What process, if any, do you have to go through to change the roadmap?

Jumped from biglaw pship to join ~$2B company <12 mo ago. Pitch was to come grow into GC role and have strategic seat at table. Quickly learned only opinion that matters is micromanaging CEO/controlling SH and rest of exec team kowtows to his desires as (even when wrong) plus general hostility for back office functions. Has killed long-term appeal of this gig. Trying to figure out next steps (stay a while, jump to another in-house gig, go back to private practice) and any advice appreciated.

Note: I will make deduction of 1.5 lakhs under section 80C and I am already paying interest of 48,500 on my education loan under section 80E. Hence would need calculations based on that.

Being an immigrant, I’m pretty upfront with new employers about the fact that I’ll need 3 weeks to visit my family back home on the other side of the planet. Most employers are pretty chill contd.

I’m considering moving into SIU from my current role. I’ve handled auto damage, liability and first party medical claims over the course of 6+ years with a heavy specialization in medical claims. I’m trying to determine what a reasonable pay range would be for a role as an experienced investigator with at least 3 years experience while also taking into account my overall industry experience of 6+ years. Any advice would be great!
Interested in getting into management/leadership type role, my experience has strictly been in underwriting. Only prior management experience was fast food joint I worked at in college. Looking for tips/tricks on how to get there. Any special designations other than CPCU to get? Can someone give some input on the difference between an Underwriter and an Underwriting Analyst? I'm finding a lot of companies use this title synonymously.
I recently obtained my MBA, and I've been eager to start working as an analyst. But I'm not sure where to begin. As an underwriter assistant, I now make $43,000. However, it's quite difficult to get by, and I'd love to start doing what I enjoy. Any suggestions?
My boss has told me that I’m being promoted really soon (6-8) months from today to an Account Manager position from being an assistant at my company. He’s giving me every resources possible for me to be ready for that position, resources such as books, card notes and trainings. Now, I’ve seen another internal position from a different department which I’m really interested in and I know I can get because of my background. Do I apply to that new position, or hold on for the AM position.

Data Quality for Actuarial and Data Analysts
How much time do your analysts spend cleaning and structuring data vs actually performing analysis? I feel like I’m fighting data quality/support issues just to keep our quarterly reporting processes alive, much less creating value-adds through actual analysis or new technology implementation. What’s normal vs how it should be?
Wondering what people currently make as a non attorney representing claims Adjuster? I’ve been feeling like I’m a bit underpaid especially for the state I’m in.
