Anyone with Netsuite Key report experience? For customized reports where it displays the sum of transactions for a given account, how are you testing for accuracy if Netsuite is the source system? Would we tie back individual transaction amounts to see if it sums up accurately?

Couldn’t you also tie the key report back to a standard NS report that is covered by the NS SOC report for completeness?

like

Oh that’s interesting. I’ve never seen that! Have you done that before?

What kind of control is the key report being used as a source for (reconciliation, accrual calc, etc)?

Recon

So then for completeness, tie the count (#) of reconciled items from the recon against the NetSuite KR. For accuracy, tie the total ($) of reconciled items from the recon against the NetSuite KR; alternatively, you could select a sample of transactions and just tie those back to the KR, but tying the total amount (whole population) gives greater assurance than tying a few individual transactions (samples). Hope that helps!

Sorry not sure if this changes, but the report and others are used in the preparation of the 10K/10Q

I may have misunderstood haha, no worries! In that case, yep just select a few transactions from the KR and tie the dollar values back to the system. If you're able to see the total of the report in the system, tie that total against the exported report total for greater accuracy

Additional Posts in Risk Assurance

I’m getting put up for manager a year early. I have PPMD ,SM, and M support. Pretty much support from all the key individuals on my team and in my service line. Since it is a year early if i don’t get promoted this round I know it’ll come mid year but I do expect a good salary increase still without the promo. If I don’t get the promo nor a salary increase that I’m okay with, how do I let my partner know that I will begin to entertain outside offers? some of which have offered the manager role.
