You trust HR?
I think “billable” hours is a flexible term in this case. As long as you’ve been there a year, whichever partner or manager writes your letter isn’t going to be counting your hours. One year and 2k hours are basically the same
What matters is the partner’s representation that you meet the experience requirement
Billable doesn’t matter, it’s work hours.
2080 total hours aka you worked somewhere full time for 1year
Get someone to sign and hours don't matter.
The problem is, I have been at two different firms beforehand, one for an internship, one full time not amounting to a year total at either. I'm guessing that complicates things...
I realize that haha I'm just talking about getting partner letters
I ran into this same issue with HR in FL. I already had the hours of work experience, but GT wanted the full year just to be sure. I get it, they don’t want to send in the application and have it come back denied (because after a full year, you should be way over the hourly minimum), but still kinda annoying that I had to wait that long
