I have been trying to exit consulting for a while now. I am gonna get the EAD card for Gc somewhere around mid next year. Should I wait till I get it or should I make a move? Reason I ask is I’m getting very few callbacks and I think it’s coz I’m on a H1.

Now! Market is hot

Don’t really know your full profile but I don’t think that’s the main reason.

I am on H1B and definitely some firms don’t consider your profile because of it but I had 4 offers including FANG.

Take your time to search properly, market is red hot and every H1B person I know who’s job hunting has had multiple offers.

like

You shouldn’t have any issues finding other jobs in daya even on H1B. It took me around 2-3 months to get offers so plan accordingly once you receive GC.

Just be aware that if you signed any document for GC processing then it probably has a clause saying work for at least a year after getting GC or you’ll have to reimburse GC expenses. Something to look out for.

Hello! I’m starting to look for remote Recruiter position and would love to get into the Tech industry. I have my Bachelors degree in Marketing and frequently pick up design projects for our campaigns.

I’d love to chat with anyone regarding this industry change and hear of any leads you may know of! Thank you in advance!!

I'm hiring and I've just learned that my HR department is screening candidates by asking them about very specific functions and frameworks.

"Can you describe your experience using Element#remove()?"

"Can you describe your experience migrating from X framework to Y framework?"

We don't use Y framework and have no plans to use Y framework in the foreseeable future. I also don't expect candidates to have all functions memorized. How on Earth did they find out about Y framework!? 🙄🫣

Hi Team,

I have cleared all the interview rounds (WebEx & HR on call) for the position: VERIFIER, and also submitted documents (authentic as per my knowledge) for background verification on Aug. 25, 2022.

How much time usually ICICI bank takes to generate Offer Letter, after all the verification process??

I got an offer from Accenture and joining date is 18 October. This is into CN. Lately I got a temporary employment contract from Dubai with a very decent pay.
Due to some personal urgencies, I am under confusion to pursue the offer at Dubai or not!
Can I ask a counter from Accenture to increase my pay and a hard genuine try to send me onsite in 6 months?
Or will it backfire and they close my current offer? What's the situation in Accenture as the market is snaily in recent months!

Got an offer for SE III at a large tech company. Product I'd be working on interests me and I think I could grow more than in my current role.

Currently I make 180k base and have ISO/RSUs @ startup (60k/yr worth on paper, but won't be worth anything for a few years, if at all).

The offer is:
Base: $166,500
Target Bonus: 10% ($16,650)
RSU: 120k total (30k/yr)

Thoughts on offer? Should I counter?

Additionally there's a yearly target RSU bonus about equal to the cash bonus. Thoughts? 4.5 YOE
