Does anyone have any insight into partners retiring early? I am at a point where I need to consider leaving if I am not aiming for partner. I don’t see myself working past my 40s. My partner and I are not big spenders and anticipate have enough to retire comfortably in 40s (obviously a lot can change). Did anyone else here come from a "law enforcement family?" In my family, being a police officer is a tradition. Literally, all the men are involved with law enforcement, and working in this industry has always felt to me like a way to connect with my ancestors.

I resigned last month and my manager said he is trying to retain me. I had a call with HR and I explained my expectation. Now, I am getting profiles daily to evaluate. Candidate has similar experience and working on the same technology stack.
I knew that my manager is looking for my replacement but he is still pretending that he will retain me. I don't understand why he is doing like that.
Do I need to evaluate the profiles?

I have 14th march as a start date and I don’t know my background verification status.
I emailed BIONBoarding but no response.
How am I supposed to give notice to my current employer without knowing BGC status ?
Please advise if someone faced this situation.
