They’re not cross shopped. High end suits are made from well know Italian fabric mills like loro piana. Suit supply suits and even “expensive” brands such as Hugo boss, do not offer that level of fabric. You can tell the difference like night and day when you company side by side.
That being said, it is unlikely that you will be judged for every day wear. Fit is far more important than material so when it comes down to prioritization, most folks opt for an affordable M2M piece from places like suit supply.
I'd rather have two suits from SuSu that I can rotate and slow down the wear/tear than one custom suit. But that's just me 🤷🏻♂️
Agree with H1. SuSu provides variety at a price point that is reasonable.
SuSu is meh quality.. go to a tailor and get custom
Would love to know where DSC1 is hiding the tailor that will make a custom suit for ~$450 🙄
Show me a halfway decent suit from SuSu for under $600... 🙄
I have two, they’re both a solid 6/10. You get what you pay for. Go to a reputable tailor and get a suit made for similar pricing, see Enzo (and others).
Or go to Thailand, Hong Kong, etc. like most smart people do. Cheers 🍻
To each their own friend 😊 👍
What about the WSJ article that said Suitsupply beat Armani? Also - the suits I just bought have Vitale Barberis fabrics, which I believe are pretty high end
My SuSu stuff was 1100 and 1200, they have some nicer fabrics that deliver at top polished look if you hunt for them.
