Yup. I think it’s better than introducing my situationship to my coworkers (speaking from experience)
Yes, if you come empty handed you make it easier to leave with something
Yes, strong preference, & I’d prefer my colleagues did the same
Yes, been single for ages, so I always go alone
I just do it anyway. A good amount of my colleagues have heard a few of my dating horror stories, so they’re more than happy to hang out with me and introduce me to their SOs
There’s no how, I just put on a dress and go !
I have for the last 5 years lol
Go alone to the company party - but come home with some company.

Only if I am wearing a properly fitted suit.
Just want to provide an update.I went to the company party by myself tonight, not bad at all. So I am glad I went!
Trying to figure this out now. Normally I’d have no issues with it, but I recently started a new job and almost everyone I work with directly is remote. So basically I only know a handful of folks from my office who may or may not be there. We have to. No plus ones
Not really. But once you get to the party, you can just drink and hang and try to have fun with colleagues… then sneak out when it feels awkward.
Glad you did OP!
