You’ll save $1k-2k in rent per month, plus another few percent from lower state income taxes. So you’ll come out ahead by $10k-$20k if I had to guess.
160k is a decent income in Denver, especially if your spouse is also working. Taxes in CO are in the moderate to low side too
Property taxes are dirt cheap. Bought my place for $1.1m last year and pay $3800/yr. Expect to increase to maybe $6500 when it is reassessed. Still really cheap. Come to the mountains outside of Denver. Conifer/Evergreen has a solid school system
I would try to match the 10k difference, but if you love the job and the area, go for it!
If you're looking for more of a suburb with a good school district, I'd recommend checking out SE Boulder County. Lafayette and Louisville are fantastic, and Erie is up and coming as well. Thornton and Broomfield are also nice and are a bit closer to Denver as well.

$160k is plenty for living in Denver/surrounding area.

Well the median home price in Denver is about half that of the Bay Area so I’d say that alone plus lower taxes puts it closer to 44% than 25%
