What makes more money IT Audit or IT GRC?
Hello - hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm looking into risk assurance opportunities at Meta, especially Application Manager, Controls (min 5 YOE) and Manager, Compliance (min 12 YOE). I am a Senior Manager with 9 years of IT risks assurance experience. Does anyone have any thought on which position I should apply? If anyone currently at Meta could share your experience, that would also help. If anyone is open to providing referrals, I could provide my background. Facebook (Meta)

Genuinely care about getting the work done. Even in the boring, dry times. Show that due care 👍
Join committees/clubs at your office. Being on Party Planning committee means you can get your favorite beer at the Christmas party🥰
Tell people you are interested in more challenging opportunities and seek out feedback so they give it to you and then work on exactly what they say so they feel heard and more willing to coach you.
There’s a delicate balance of taking initiative and staying in your lane (in my experience). But you can’t really get in trouble for taking initiative while staying in your lane won’t always help you grow. So figure out where you can add more value without ruffling feathers if that makes sense. I was told “this is senior work, you can’t do that” which was shitty as an associate.
Be good at your job
Great question. No.1 is so a good job for your engagement team. That’s what counts.
Be a nice person and available to help and offer to help.
Easy and good luck
