That sounds awesome. I’m literally tagged to 8 right now. In MM
Some LMM firms charging rock bottom fees do this, stack quantity high and churn through the deals. Tiny deal size, quality is usually terrible. It's not really comparable as a product so someone saying 8 is not useful.
Heard RSM was putting people on 2-3 at minimum. Absolute sweatshop there right now

Can confirm it’s sweaty over here.
You’re paid on your productivity at A&M. At manager/sr associate, the fee proposal is priced out at 20 hrs per week.
So if you’re getting admonished for charging a code more than 20 hours a week, that means you want to always work at least 2 year round.
But you never know when data is going to hit so almost everyone does 3, even 4 at a time. That’ll keep you around 80-100% utilization.
The highest performers will even do 5 lol but that’s a choice.
3 minimum is the norm.
Directors/sr directors are priced out at 10 hrs per week per deal so they’re usually juggling 4+ any given time, high performers again are at 5-6.
Depends on the level and increases as you go up. Also depends on the deal size and pace. Not every deal is the same as you know
At senior bordering manager, you should be on 2-3
3-4 at SD level
OP, you’re able to stay at/above 80% utilization with 1 deal at a time? Are these massive sell sides?
You gotta keep in mind A&M is squarely serving middle market PE. The typical buy side total fee is around $100k, timelines are 3 weeks give or take.
