That is super early. Maybe if you’re tier 1 at crt
You didn’t go through the same recruiting process. There’s focus on certain schools, higher threshold for interviews, etc.
You’ve also only been here a short amount of time and switched your interest already so there’s additional risk of you jumping groups again.
If you’re not doing well in audit, what value do you bring to advisory?
TLDR: internal transfers are still interviews
What about jumping to another big 4 firm? I was told im on track for a 1 or 2 rating and I have a summer rotation in CMAAS coming up but I want to jump to FDD/Val and want to do so before next busy season. Im sure my profile will look stronger in the next few months (also will pass my last cpa exam) so want to see if it’s worth waiting to apply or if I should just shoot my shot now.
I'd say give it a try because you never know what can happen.
The worse they can say is no but if you were able to get an interview you can use it as practice and be better prepared the next time.
It's your career so own it! Just have a great story on why FDD interest you and speak to your transferable skillset and you might surprise yourself.
I did it. Left Big 4 audit after 8 months to do FDD at a National firm. Now would be the best time to do it.
internally is doubtful, look external
If not I may be able to get you at my smaller firm
Same situation, OP. I just finished first busy season in Audit and am looking to switch. Only one B4 wanted to interview. TBD
Hey OP do you have your cpa?
I did it. It was actually very easy maybe I got lucky but you should go for it if they are hiring for rotation/transfer
