At my workplace, there was always this unspoken thing that happened near the end of every shift. As soon as closing time got close, people would suddenly find other tasks to do, wiping counters again, reorganizing shelves!!

You didn’t really notice it at first, until it clicked what was happening. Everyone was avoiding the same thing. “Taking out the garbage”!!

It’s not even hard, just annoying enough that no one wants to deal with it when they’re already tired!!
