Audit to Tax -> I've thought about making a transition from audit to tax, especially since the job market seems more poised towards tax. Currently, I've spent my last 5 years in public accounting firms in an audit focused role and haven't enjoyed my time.

Does anyone have recommendations for a pivot? If I'm looking for a new firm, then do you suggest looking at experienced associate roles, or can you swing a senior role even with a switch? I have previous tax exp as an intern, but that's all.

I’ve been in an in-house role since the beginning of the year and just gave 2 weeks’ notice to leave for a much better paying and better titled position. The response has been very petty, to the point that I’ve been called unprofessional even after I asked the hiring attorney whether I could give longer notice at the current company’s request. Is this normal?
