I've never seen "benefits" this bad, ever, in decades of employment. The 401(k) where the company just decides on a whim whether or not it will contribute reads like satire.
It was never a mandate, no, but it was the original justification for shafting workers by taking away pensions. It was also meant to be the price they paid for the reqards of both corporate tax breaks and the offliading of all risk to workers.
It's now been long enough that they can just quietly pretend that there was never an obligation for comoanies to care about their employees' retirement.
Having worked at Omnicom, then IPG, then WPP, then back to Omnicom (and laid off today), I can tell you with confidence that Omnicom’s policies are the worst by far.

BBDO had layoffs?
I've fortunately been spared from the layoffs that occurred yesterday at FCB, but I'm so disheartened by Omnicom's "benefits" package. It's a massive downgrade from IPG's offerings, not to mention the RTO policy. More than half of my team is dispersed across the country and not near any major hubs, including myself (about 175 miles from the NY office). Everyone is incredibly anxious/stressed right now.
Wait till WPP gets acquired, like by Accenture or PE
