Is the dealership where you bought the car or just where you dropped it off at? I’d ask to speak to the dealer GM first, especially if they want to keep some loyalty.
Side note: colleagues wife’s car was in the shop for 5 months for a windshield replacement (the tech one). They escalated it to Cadillac. Consider how the GM reacts first before escalating.
I dropped it off at one of insurance preferred body shops since the dealerships don’t have a body shop. After the body shop fixes the car it goes to the dealership for software calibration. First the body shop took over 30 days to fix and now been sitting with dealer for a week for them to do the software update.
I would definitely escalate that.
