It’s definitely an unloved part of the Cartier line which I think was discontinued a couple years ago. I think they are pretty cool watches I just don’t love the look of how far the crown extends. Otherwise I’d probably buy a non-chrono version myself. If you like it, go for it. Honestly it can feel like unless you buy a Rolex, Speedy, Santos or one of the Hodinkee accepted micro brands, you’re making a bad choice. That’s not the case: buy what you like and you’ll get far more enjoyment.

Probably won’t be the first…or second, or third chrono in my collection…

I think it was after the classic car look, especially with the extended crown, like the rocket tail lights. It would be a hard pass for me. There are much better Cartier designs than this one IMO.

Looks like someone forgot to hold down shift when resizing a regular Cartier watch lol
My dad wore this watch. Really pretty watch (except for the band). It looked great on him, but he was a bigger guy (6’2”, 210lbs). I put it on a few weeks ago and it looked way too big for me (5’11” 170lbs). If your a taller/bigger person it’s worth trying on.
This particular variation is pretty tough on the eyes and will wear huge. I have the roadster gmt XL and it’s a beauty especially with the less cluttered dial and brushed/polished bracelet
