Born in Dallas, lived in SF and NYC before relocating to Austin.
My take: Austin by a MILE. Very cool culture, walkable, much more of a soul than Dallas - and dating here is much better than Dallas.
Austin has a greater confluence of young people who are outgoing and eager to meet others. Probably due to a bigger number of folks not originally from Texas.
Dallas is VERY insular - if you’re not from there, you’ll have a tough time making new friends and meeting people to date - dating apps are not as popular as ‘I met a friend of a friend for drinks’
Walkable is tough for any TX city. Austin would be better for that + meeting people IMO
Do you want a spacious house in the burbs that is near your church? Giant luxury trim truck? Dallas. Everything else Austin.
If you like sports and museums, move to Dallas.
If you like the outdoors, move to Austin.

Neither is a walkable city but Austin is more liberal and left leaning.
Dallas is a lot of old money, and new tech money is in Austin.
Dallas has way more people but everything is far out.
Austin has a more interesting downtown. Austin is also more expensive generally from cost of living.
I have lived in Dallas for 5 yrs and ATX for 5 yrs.
I wld suggest Dallas asa1st option—Shops at Legacy and fr a male friend opinion, Dallas has a bigger selection of affluent females
ATX is nice you have Apple, Google and various gyms but more in Dallas
They are 3 hrs apart
ATX main shopping area is the Domain (lots of bars, shopping and the Galleria near Lake Travis (which is gorgeous n homes and apartments in the hills); small transit system though

As a female, I see nothing wrong with that?
