Currently having a package of 2.8 Laks/p.a so how many compensation should I expect from the new company with a total of 1 Yr experience in manual testing with a basic knowledge of cypress (Automation tool for testing)?

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

But my current organisation is trying to retain me by giving me a raise and promoting me to SSE with 11 LPA they have also promised to give me more interesting work according to my will. Whenever I got promoted to digital ACD a few years ago, I noticed my pay was much lower than I expected for the market I’m in, hard to find skillsets, performance, and visibility I’ve brought to the agency. I’ve brought this up a few times and was told HR would do research into salary equity, but the convo always fades. I put my foot down with my GCD, and she supports me, but I would like to come to the table with my own research. Where should I be looking for accuracy?

Current situation: company A- was hired as a specialist and proved my worth to become a category manager but ended up on the low end of the salary range because of my lack of experience. Have voice my concern about my pay several times to my director, with no action in return.

Not sure what's going on in the name of BGV these days.
I mean companies ask for payslips, relieving letter and docs before rolling out the offer.
After that also, they are checking addresses ,calling references, sometimes asking again for documents, sometimes even bank statement.
Seriously I don't believe that a professional would be required to do this much anywhere outside India.
Gives me a really weird feeling.
