Got an interview with Amazon within their Advertising department. I hear working for Amazon can be great if you get into the right department. Anyone have insights to their advertising department? Good or bad? Also, would love some interview tips if you have them! (It’s for an Executive Assistant position) thank you!

Ooof.... that feels ridiculously low. I'm a Senior Finance Analyst with less than five years of experience and I'm making almost double that in Atlanta. I think you probably accepted way too quick. I get you probably need something to help bridge things, but I'd keep looking while you've got this gig.
What a dream that would have been. I’ve been here in Naples for nearly 6 years now and $50k/year is considered high. The average salary for a Compliance Officer is $32k/year. I need to move and look elsewhere but I can’t afford it. How ironic is that?
Congratulations on your new position. I am sure you will be a stellar member of your new team and perhaps politely maintain a bit of work-life balance.
At some point, perhaps a year from now, you will inconspicuously see what opportunities exist. You will also, by then, understand better what the financial situation is with your company.
It would be helpful to know your equity position, how close to IPO, and the salary to equity position of others.
Now is the time for us all to celebrate your employment. It could also be helpful to calmly assess the salary and equity outlook now. Is the money sufficient for your lifestyle? No reason to panic; no reason to be unnecessarily dissatisfied.
Finally, you also have a window to see if anything better comes along from your previous efforts. In any case, it could be a great team, great experience, and you could decide to stay.

Make a plan to address the hours before you become exhausted! Of course, your also putting in hours at the job to presumably stay up on the work.
You should have a conversation ready for the boss or owner. Happy to talk through that- PM or let’s start another thread for that also?
That's ridiculously low
There are all sorts of remote jobs nowadays. I work in FL near Naples also but for a company based in NYC with an NYC level salary. My wife took a job for 50K and I made her quit... it wasn't worth the income after the taxes and loss of her time lmao.
You accepted an offer of $50k a year? New analysts at my firm make $82 right out of college with 0 skills.
Location can be a big factor along with local competitive opportunities. However, remote work is increasingly impacting companies that have relied on talent that chooses location-first.
What type of compliance are you specialized?
Investment and insurance related.
Seems low
Is there any kind of bonus or performance scheme in the contract? Since you are in compliance and focus on investment and insurance, there is potentially something we could discuss about. You can DM me if you are interested. It is about detecting vulnerable customers prior to selling financial or insurance products to them. This protects the company from fines for misselling.
No one answered OP’s question. What is the average salary for a Director of Compliance at a FinTech company? Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer, but commenting for visibility in case others have a similar question.
