Did you do the NIPT? I just had my first prenatal appt and they scheduled me for the NIPT at 10 weeks. I’m a little nervous and anxious. Did anyone get it and got a false positive? Do you not recommend it? I wish I could ask family but we’re not telling anyone until the 12 weeks mark.

Getting married in September, have a vax only policy for guests. My fiancé’s sister is bringing her unvaccinated spouse to the hotel where all the wedding festivities are being held b/c she is too scared to fly on an airplane without him. I find this incredibly uncomfortable and selfish given it will put me and my fiancé in an uncomfortable position (and it will also put my elderly parents and other vulnerable fam members at risk). I completed the last round of an interview (presentation) last week. Originally they said they would be calling my references & then make an offer accordingly.
Today they updated that they'd like me to travel to their HQ (based in Nordics & I'm in London) for the final round where I'd meet the CEO, the hiring manager and a couple of people in the team.
I don't think I'm the only one in the process - even though initially the last round was the presentation.

I am having 2 offers. Capgemini 19 LPA & Ericsson 19 Fixed + 5% Variable (yet to receive the offer letter).

Now should I ask Capgemini to make fixed part as 19. So that overall CTC will become 21LPA.

What if they do not revise. I think Capgemini will be better choice for a java, spring Boot developer.

Don't want to decline the accepted offers just a day before joining. 27 is the LWD.

Hi Fishes, asking this for a friend working as SAP BASIS Consultant.
He performed well in TCS technical round and HR also seemed to be happy with his performance.
He asked for 8.5 LPA, his current CTC being 4.3 LPA, with little over 3 years of experience.
HR said they would call him later and after 4 days, HR called and said she was informed by management that they could only provide 6 LPA :(
Any idea why they offered him that less? He is very disappointed with the way things turned out to him

I think this generation has finally understood that it's not worth preparing for govt jobs like UPSC, RBI, SEBI, SSC job, even state PCS.

Earlier they used to sacrifice important 3-4-5 yrs for such jobs but now people want to work more in Corporate rather than wasting their lives for such govt jobs which doesn't even have any significant future as compared to an IT job.

Is this true or people are still running after these govt jobs? I can see the mindset shift from Govt to Corporate jobs.
