For Rockwall, the lowest I got was $650 for something similar, and you give the lights back after (so it’s a rental). I’ve seen some of my neighbors do it themselves just by running lights over the front hedges and putting up displays that look pretty decent
It’s upwards of $1k to have them designed and put up and then $600+ to have them put up again each year after in Dallas. Having my husband do it around our front door arch, garage, and trees as we speak and it still looks really good. I put the same ones up last year - the lights cost $50 and it only takes a couple of hours. I couldn’t justify the cost to have it professionally done
You can get about 400ft of lights for about $350, which includes a 18ft ladder and all supplies to do a sled install. All you’ll need are C9 bulbs, a spool of sockets, clips, a timing plug, extension cord, and the right female connectors - and you can save yourself $1-$3k. And you keep all of it.
Do you plan to be in this house for a while? I got permanent lighting installed on my house this year and it was an awesome investment. 90% of the time I have it in architectural lighting mode and it makes our house the best lit on the street. We got a ton of compliments from kids and parents on Halloween for the fun Halloween lighting displays. This month, I put a different Christmas theme on everyday there are so many options. This is the company that installed permanent lighting on my house. They can quotes anywhere in DFW. They also do architectural lighting which is a different product. Pretty much everything. Guy that did the quote was nice and the team that installed was really professional.
