Is this role relevant to my experience or is it a role for much experienced person than me?
Any idea or information that what is the pay usually offered for this position?
Please provide your thoughts and suggest whether I should change 1. My role or 2. Request for more pay

If you don’t have the ability to make good work in those spaces, then yes.
Don’t listen to these peeps. There are still agencies doing big tv and film work. They’re hard to get into but once you’re in it’s awesome
Fwiw I haven’t seen anyone that I wanted to hire with a book coming out of a social agency.
I’m sure there are some that would feel different, and I obviously don’t speak for everyone, but if you’re feeling stuck you probably are. Trust your gut.
May want to start working on some spec if you want to break the social post / banner cycle. Or consider taking a step back in title or dollars to get into a place where you can build a portfolio that the more creative shops want to hire.
There are people at social shops with long careers if you’re into that. Different people have different priorities. But the way many social agencies operate is to try to work their way up to AOR status by underbidding (and undermining) the current AOR. Rightly or wrongly, deserved or not. So a lot of the bigger shops and creative management in those shops don’t think very highly of creatives coming from social agencies. Besides the fact it’s hard to judge a “senior" creative with next to no video experience.
It’s something you may get lucky and avoid, but I’d start working on some creative spec if you want to break the cycle.
The industry is.
You should be conceptual enough to make good work, regardless of medium.
No why? More and more $ are shifting there, so do amazing work. Volunteer for pitches to get more breadth. And did they not tell you the nature of the work? That’s shady.
If you want to move up and get paid you need to be making video, whether it’s social or not
More money being shifted? You better read more, a realignment is happening, just ask Mr Zuckerberg. Also, it’s because you’re in Digital, and everyone is putting there eggs in that one proverbial “basket” .. you better diversify. Because not only is the Digital space re-animating in several ways but all other Mediums as well. Oh.. but you’ll still need those logos in a Vector.
it’s up to you if your work on any medium is good or bad. if you want your digital and social work to be conceptual and strong, it can be (as long as the client is willing).
as far as career, keep doing great work and you’ll be fine. like others said, if you can’t do that in the place you’re at, then that’s the issue.
Volunteer for new biz pitches. It’s the only way out of those situations
CD1: any advice for someone with a ton of video but little to no broadcast (1 piece)? Feeling stuck as well.
What type of spec would you like to see from a senior?
Maybe a loop?
Social is a great place to make good, portfolio-building work. And banners keep the agency’s lights on
