Most American advertising can’t compete with advertising from elsewhere, and most great American advertising is made by immigrants lol
Not true.
Kinda like the post, Copywriter?
Elaborate, maybe I wanna move elsewhere then
Copywriter, Because at some point in American history, some big shot announced “We’re the best country in the world!” Now we have to keep it up against reasonable work/life balance. But that will all change once the trickle down economy starts trickling down. Can’t wait!..💀
This has to be a Brazilian or an Australian.
Pay is much lower elsewhere though, right?
I think it’s more the economy; similar jobs have lower salaries in UK and Europe, partially because taxes are higher and there are more safety net benefits.
???
This is objectively not true.
It’s a competitive market in the U.S., but there’s a lot of great talent and work in other countries. In many places hours aren’t shorter either.
Also, U.S. is a very unique market for many reasons, with its own challenges, but other countries have their own. Advertising here is also isolated, and it would be much easier for a foreign creative to move to U.S. and kill it, then visa versa.
Looks like someone has a chip on their shoulder with a South American coworker 🙂↔️🙂↔️
No other country in the world imports more creatives from other countries. Did one of them “took yerrrr job”, OP?
Who hurt you OP?
I may agree if you specified some regions or countries but otherwise I can’t agree. Hours in Asia sound terrifying while I wish we had the strategy-backed ideas you hear is expected in the UK. Competitionwise, I’d imagine it’s the same everywhere. Maybe worse in countries that have like 1 ad agency because most of the ad work gets outsourced.
