Curious how everyone’s job search has been going lately…

I’ve been actively searching since January with very little luck. I’ve been tailoring my resume for each role and doing all the recommendations.

I’ve had a few interviews that felt like they went really well. It’s either a quick rejection or no response for months.

The part that’s been most surprising is that I’m applying for roles I’ve been doing for the past 12 years.

Has anyone else been having a similar experience?

I went for 3 interviews with a company met with vp and was given package thinking I aced interview there was another candidate 😞 the other person for the job. The VP calls me to tell me I didn’t get position however he wants me to re apply in new year that something else will be open, and that he wanted to keep a copy of my resume what does this mean ? Should I apply again in new year or don’t bother ?

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!
