35 years in business. This does make me a bit sad. So many great happy hour memories.
If only Leo took them on as a client.
Had the best breakfast sandwiches. Such a shame
Really substantial. And at a great price! A rarity to find in the Loop anymore. We aren’t like NYC where you can get a freshly cracked egg on a bagel for $2.50 on any block.
Lot of bittersweet moments there saying goodbye to laid off colleagues. 🫡 Catch 35
Is catch and carry closing?
That's a bummer! I usually would get catch and carry once a month
People are laughing but it’s true. So many places like that have closed over the last half decade, and so many jobs were lost with them.
Just remembered Cafe Cafe. Another nice, seemingly family owned breakfast/lunch spot on state/wacker
Wow! Well, it seemed a little dated to be honest. A lot of theater goers eat there before a play.
Dang that really sucks. I actually really liked that place. Its sad to see how many places are closing down ever since the pandemic. So many good places have had to close their doors and so many good people have been left without their jobs.
Ugh! Catch and Carry is my go to. It's good and good prices. What a bummer.
Not sure I understand who the businesses located inside 35WW are catering to. There is a clothing store or something there, is it for employees to buy clothes? Same with the hair place. There is no real street signage that these businesses exist. How do they find customers?
There used to be a pedway through there all the way from Clark & Lake.
Where am I supposed to get my corporate fish lunch now?
There is a McCormick and Schmick’s a block over.
Oh no! When is it closing?!
October.
It was a cool vintage vibe. But I still won’t return to office.
I mean, if they let you work from home, great. I hate working in the office myself. But they enforced it hardcore at my agency. It’s either a ghost town or nowhere to sit or have privacy for a zoom call.
