Additional Posts in Londoners in Consulting
Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

All us consultants in London should go on strike. Getting away with low salaries compared even to other EU countries such as Germany and definitely the US despite being billed out at similar rate. London is so expensive compared to salary. In my area (zone 4/5 as well) a 4 bed family house is around 1m, even if I was a Senior member on 150-200k this is a stretch
M2 that’s right but not 100%. The costs of running a business in London (e.g. real estate, marketing costs, etc.) are easily 2x vs the continent. So, partners make as much as in the US, definitely more than their European peers, but the margin does not have an exclusive correlation with the payroll costs.
People ‘cap out’ at different career stages. Depends a lot on the market value of your skillset. Many of the senior managers or directors in the business today might not have the relevant skills to earn the same good money in 15 years time.
Agree, I plan to cap out at senior manager for a happy life! So £100k
Chief
Depends on firm but 200ish
Under 150k in my opinion
That’s low. Around 250k TC at the (very) high end..
