I have only ever had my face and sideburns waxed. It feels like a rubberband snap against your skin (to me). Probably a 3/10. Feels the same as waxing
Black women need to visit somewhere with a ND:YAG laser.
If you live in NYC, go to Peach fuzz laser. Great service, good prices.
They’re equally painful IMO. Do yourself a favor and get the laser if you can. Nd yag laser for dark skin types. I got it done when I was in college and 6 years later it’s still paying dividends. Laser hair removal isn’t technically permanent, the hair can come back but it’s hardly peach fuzz in most areas. My legs are more resistant but I’ve also had fewer sessions there. You want ~8 sessions averaging 4-6 weeks in between.

I love laser and recommend it. The laser is based on your complexion. Darker brown skin requires a more specialized laser that can differentiate between the melanin in your hair and your skin tone. I have a caramel complexion and didn’t have to use the special laser when I got it done over ten years ago.
Never heard that but what area are you referencing? Only done waxing.
Never heard that either about the laser, but never really looked much into it. The price tag and 50/50 stories always make me quit before I really consider it. That being said, I’d love to get it done and never be bothered again with waxing. Waxing isn’t great, but at least lasts for a long while comparatively.
