hi guys! i wanted to ask for advice if anyone can help. currently i’m a scientist at a CRO and i’m doing work that is at least a title or two above mine. feels like im overworked and underpaid. i keep getting rejected to positions i feel like i can fill due to my years of experience. i technically only have been working since may 2020. but i have learned so much so quickly, im already doing method development/discovery work. should i settle for a job title below my current in pharma?

I’m a CRC who manages Investigator- led clinical research projects and I want to transition to a PM role in industry (I would slightly prefer not a PM role in clinical trials since I don’t have clinical trial experience.) I’ve applied to PM roles at many biotech companies (e.g. Charles River, ICON, Paraxel) but only got 1 interview which didn’t work out. Which companies should I look to for an entry level PM role? I graduated with my PharmD in 2019 and I did a managed care residency and am now at a healthcare startup so my background is primarily on the health plan/digital health side

Considering that the end of this year will probably signal the start of a recession, is this a bad time to jump into a new role in Pharma?

I accepted a $115K base salary, 13% bonus, 10k sign on bonus (scientist supervisor) job and two weeks later, got a $135K base, 17% bonus, and 15K sign on bonus (Senior scientist role) offer from another company. Should I accept the new offer ? How do I tell the previous company about this? Also, I’ve already negotiated with the first company and the $115K base is the negotiated salary. I really do not prefer one company over the other. They’re both great! I’m very confused here. TIA🙏
