Personally i would not accept. I don't think its a good idea to accept the friend request of anyone who has that kind of power over you. You need space.
Absolutely not will assist in doxing.
Don’t do it. Think twice before letting managers follow you on Facebook. They're not there to cheer you on or offer support—they're watching. The moment you post something they disagree with, it could lead to consequences or even land you on a Performance Improvement Plan or termination. A colleague is just that - a colleague, not your friend.
A.I.
You shouldn't be posting anything on social media that is particularly revealing about you or shady anyway. If you are then you know that you're out of order. Based on that, if you're not "doing too much" then it doesn't matter if you accept it or not. BUT IF you know you're doing too much, then it is a sign to STOP YOUR NONSENSE ON SM, dial back and then accept. No one should feel like they don't want "a boss" to see what they do on SM because YOUR BEHAVIOR on SM shouldn't be too revealing or expose you to or your reputation to harm anyway. THIS IS THE SIGN that you're posting things that are probably not n the best taste and/or too much info to begin with. Relationship status, people feuding over relationships, half naked on the internet women showing their half naked bodies and birth canals, drug use etc....are all dumb dumb moves. Clean living on the other hand.......why not accept it? But only you know the truth.
Always ignore the boss's friend request. They're just using social media to spy to later use that information against you.
I dont have facebook, im not 12.
No. I did and she blocked me on LinkedIn a couple weeks later. LOL
And I have one person that oddly just kept checking on my LinkedIn.
