We are in the middle of a pandemic and economic recession, it is quite normal not having success with interviews. Keep working on it and eventually you will get it

I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. The positive thing here is that you are getting calls back and making it through multiple rounds. Be patient and you will absolutely land something you love.
I'm more discouraged personally about the lack of listings im seeing. I've only found one opportunity I've been interested in over the last few months. I interviewed for the position 12 hours after it was posted and then was ghosted and no formal rejection sent.
I felt this was for a few years, finally got an amazing offer so I left my job in January of this year. Then corona hit and I got laid off from my new job in April and if I had stayed where I was I’d still be fully employed.
Keep chugging away at job applications, it’s a huge time suck I know, and eventually something will come around. Especially now, be thankful for having a job. Even as much as I desperately wanted to leave my old job, it’s not sounding so bad right now!

OP, how has your conversations gone with your boss about your workload? Any chance some projects can get additional help?
Treat job applications as a job. That’s the best advice I can give you. Aka, wake up early, put in 6-8 hours per day on your applications, 4-5 days per week. And you’ll find a job.
