Do y’all ever just stop and pray quietly in your classroom? I know we can’t lead it, but sometimes before my kids come in, I’ll say a quick prayer over their seats or for a tough student. The weight we carry as teachers isn’t light, and some days prayer is the only thing that keeps me grounded. Curious , do you pray at school, or have your own way of finding peace before the class starts?

How does a sole engineer at a company go about getting management to actually care how production machines run? I’m the only mechanical engineer at my company dealing with a half dozen cranky production managers who think that I can “work my magic” on a machine. It’s not magic, just ignorance about the machine actually works. How to I get a manager to stop caring about the end product long enough for me to actually teach them about their own machine?
