Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase?Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
Can anyone share their experience with an ESOP?

It’s really irrelevant, just like inflation is irrelevant. It’s about what your market rate is today, which is based on supply demand. Go interview and confirm what people are willing to pay you in today’s market, that’s your market rate today.
10 years is something you can bring up, just back it up with what you’ve done in that decade. The consistent value, improvements, whatever you’ve done. Use that to justify the raise, and best of luck in getting it. The tenure should be celebrated because it’s not something we see a lot of anymore.
It shouldn't matter. The only thing that should is the impact you've had on your company in those ten years. That's what you bring up during comp reviews, not milestone anniversaries.
