Do you ever feel pressure to always be ‘on’ professionally? I love finance, but sometimes it feels like I have to always be perfectly composed and 'on' because of my role. It’s exhausting trying to meet that standard every day. Does anyone else feel this way? How do you create space to just be yourself?

I really don't see a split like that. When I'm being professional I'm still being myself. I mean, we all play roles to some degree, but when I'm at my job I don't feel like I'm playing some remote character that isn't me. I think I just show up as myself, and that has served me well.

I relate with this. I have the same issue and I've been in some decent work environments. I have to keep to myself at work, or only communicate whenever necessary. If you ask me, there's no workplace where you can totally be yourself unless you work for yourself. So there's always going to be that awkwardness or feeling like you are performing to an extent. I find being yourself at work is a quick way to find yourself at HR.

Hi, after doing project and program mangement for 6 years I joined EY GDS last year with high hopes, but soon I realised that nothing is done at EY GDS on the name of project management. It's just about charging as many hours as we can simply as any other resource. Not even basic project management in followed. Projects are undertaken and wrapped up somehow. So I am planning to move out and need help for referrals.

I’ve been in the industry for 23+ years, 16+ of those spent as a Producing Branch Manager. I hold S7, S63, S66, S24 and I’ve completed the education for the CFP (need to pass the exam). I excel in relationship building and providing exceptional service. I’ve only been on the full-service side for the past 2 years and my book of managed money is about $10M, with another $10M+ being self-directed by clients. I’d love to find an RIA job, what type of role would be suggested?

What's the best no-code or low-code platform for me to build out my startup idea? It would be a website/app that allows users to upload pictures of items and post a one-time review, and allows others to like/dislike the item. They would be rewarded for each item they review. It's not a Shopify since there's no items sold, just verified reviews.
