Do you feel like you’re being challenged at your job currently?

Does your firm give you credit for hours that were written off? Sometimes I feel if you don’t lose anything for hours cut from the bill, you have incentives not to be 100% honest w/ your timesheet.

Any advice on switching from litigation to a more advisory role? I like legal research but don’t like the stress of litigation anymore and feel like it’s taking too long for me to get “good” at it.

Those of you who have left a firm, do you still keep in touch with any of your former supervisors, via email, happy hour, or otherwise? How long did you wait to re establish contact? I’m in a small market and worry about perception at my current firm. TIA

I’m in my 4th year at a small plaintiffs’ firm. Past two years I’ve received meager raises (5k) and terrible bonuses (3k). My boss prides himself on allowing me to gain experience so I have more courtroom experience than most attorneys with twice the experience. As I’ve applied for other firms, I’ve been denied interviews based on how my boss is perceived in the community. I’ve gathered professional references from opposing attorneys and other attorneys we work with but still can’t land. Help

Has anyone taken the CCRP exam? Currently looking for test prep resources and there are very few. The exam book combo I found on Amazon has mixed reviews and I think the best way for me to prep is to see the questions and get comfortable with them.

Hi. I have applied for a job in an academic setting for a leadership role in cancer research. Duties would have me responsible for a small team of research nurses as well as other managerial duties for the department. I have been a research nurse for 3 years now, but I have no experience applying for a salaried position or a role in leadership. What sort of salary would be appropriate to ask for? I’ve worked in clinical research in the academic/non profit world for the past five years. I want to transition to a role in pharma or a CRO, but haven’t been successful yet because I don’t have industry experience. Does anyone know of any CROs/pharma companies that are willing to hire someone with research expertise from an academic medical center rather than already in industry? Thanks!

I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.

What is the correct path to obtain entry level positions in clinical research. My background is in health sciences and work experience has been 3 years as a clinical lab scientist. Anyone have any tips to transitioning from CRC to CRA? Is a CCRC necessary for leveling up?

Can anyone give any insight into transitioning from bedside to clinic research? Everytime I look online there seems to be certificate programs that may or may not be a scam/waste of money.
