Desk treadmill is saving my life. Ranging from 2-5 miles daily and doesn’t inhibit work at all.
Nice! Thanks for the recommendation
I take a long walk in the morning with my two goldens. There's a beautiful park about 15 minutes from my house. We'll walk there, do a loop on one of the trails, and then head back home. I also take a walk with my kids after school, but it's much shorter since they aren't nearly as excited by the prospect of a walk as the puppies are.
Having a park nearby is surely a plus. Wish I had a trail or park close to home. All the comments here are making me realise I can take my calls on walks, so it's probably worth driving to the closest trail when I know I have calls lined up :)
Usually with my feet 😜
Hahaha I'll take that as an answer?
I run 3-5 miles daily and walk my dog
I try to do one one hour convo per day while walking… usually 1:1s or big group updates. It’s very easy when I WFH and have a three mile route I can knock out in an hour even while talking. In the office I can squeeze in a walking meeting most days but it’s usually only a mile or two max. I also block my calendar to fit in a workout 3-4 days a week, usually at 5:30 or 6:30pm.
YEah, it seems that the only way is to create the way. We're all busy people, and 'being busy' is sort of a lame excuse now. Thanks for the motivation!
I save 10 mins out of every hour by booking every meeting for either :25 or :55 min and use the gap to take a quick walk around my office and hallway, or do some stairs.
That's an amazing hack! Thanks for sharing
Walk instead of drive to lunch/store/gym. I also pace while on conference calls
I just cancelled my gym membership because I completely want to switch to walking and just lift a few weights once or twice a week
I have an exercise step in my home office and do 5-10min on it whenever I can in between meetings through out work day.
Yes, I definitely need to get one too. Do you have a recommendation?
