As a British national (and born and bred in the UK), MBA is not valued in the UK.
I have an MBA (Non-UK) not sure its of any value to be honest

They rarely create new opportunities that justify the costs.

I have one. The honest answer is that it is very difficult to quantity the value you get from an MBA. A lot of people do not put it to work so it doesn’t go anything for them. It definitely does something for your profile if you already had a pretty strong one to begin with
There isn’t much to learn from an MBA, that’s not why people do them… People do them because either it’s a nice two year break, or B, they want to switch careers.
There are a lot of jobs at MBB and tech that require MBA, especially if you want to go to the US. It’s a lot but it’ll pay back pretty quickly, if you want to take that risk
Which jobs require an MBA? Specifically within MBB and Tech?
Currently doing one to help with a company upgrade. Unless you have a plan or you’re sponsored, it’s a waste of time
It can make a difference but your aim needs to be clear. Either MBB or C suite entry (generally for PE backed companies) both have the same MO when it comes to hiring MBAs … it makes the service (consulting) or the company (PE) easier to sell. Generally the only MBA worth it is LBS in the UK. It used to be a good way to career switch between consulting and banking etc but that’s less prevalent now. It’s very high risk to do an MBA now. I’d personally stay clear.
