I work pure remote and have met only two colleagues face-to-face in 7 years. For some assignments, we fire up an online meeting room and just leave the cameras on for most of the day with people joining/departing at will. It works well.

this sounds great tbh
I much prefer virtual as well. It seems to work out so much easier for candidates and it is pretty much the same as in person. I guess the only risk is that someone could be using AI to answer questions for them. I have seen people set up their phone and read off it.
