The insecurity can’t be fixed, but it can definitely be lessened. 🤫
If you are going to have work done I would recommend doing it right after school ends for the year as the healing process will take time and the swelling will take a while to go down.
I feel like it is sad that as women we feel like we need to stay young or look a certain way in order to feel good about ourselves. Can we please normalize aging and health and inner qualities over outward appearance? We are so much more than what we look like. With age and experience comes wisdom and inner beauty that should be more important than a little sagging skin. It makes me sad that we are still not there yet as a society.
Will getting work done hurt your career? Probably not. People may judge. Those who are jealous may be unkind about your choice to have plastic surgery, but your real friends and family will be supportive. It’s a personal choice, really. Do what makes you happy.

Not at all. If you want to do it and are able to afford it, I say go for it. People will notice, but so what? You're not doing this for them, it's for yourself. Anything that makes you feel more comfortable and confident in your own skin is worth pursuing.
Hey, if I had the money to get a little done, I'd do it in a heartbeat. If you think this will help you feel good, I say go for it.
It is totally your choice. The only word of caution is to give yourself recovery time, depending on what you are deciding to get done. Plastic surgery is still surgery, so make sure you aren’t doing too much after.
Well, I'm notorious for being a fly in the ointment around these parts, so here goes.
First, before you consider students and colleagues, have you had an honest discussion with your husband about this? Has he had an opportunity to voice any objections? What does he honestly think of having a "tinkered with" version of his wife?
As far as outside perception, I know I'm not the only one who values authenticity over firmer boobs and fewer wrinkles. To answer one of your questions, yes, absolutely people will notice. What they all think individually is anyone's guess, but it's likely going to be obvious that the changes in your appearance didn't occur naturally.
Finally, you might want to keep in mind that even plastic surgery is temporary. Aging will catch up with us one way or another. We're not meant to look 19 forever, and try as we might, we can't anyway. There's nothing wrong with getting older or looking the part. Food for thought.

Definitely sorry to hear that. I hope your recovery is going well. I admit I'm not sure what it had to do with my comment though.
I was right there with you several years ago. I went ahead and did it and was very happy with the results to both my physical appearance as well as to my mental/emotional/psychological mind.

I think you should do what makes YOU feel good for you.I know a couple women in the district who had the mommy makeover. They looked great when they came back. Oh, I also worked w a teacher when I first started who was picked for that Extreme Makeover - show. The producers came to the school in early August and created ‘a day at school’, where it was announced over the loudspeaker that she was picked to go on the show. They had some kids come in and pretend they were in her class
I never really knew what she didn’t like about herself, I thought she was really pretty. She was out for maybe 5months and then they filmed her getting engaged lol
I see absolutely nothing wrong with your body image concerns. If I had the money, I’ll get under the knife in a New York minute!!!
