We have a new phone system that is basically babysitting us since since they implemented it everyone in my unit has completely mentally checked out and all we do is bitch in our teams chat all day long. None of us have ever done less work. Treat us like babies and that’s what you’ll get.

I think the answer to this one is obvious. The hard part for some people who have direct reports is giving up control and letting people show what they can do, without TOO much guidance.

How long did it take you to receive your first promotion? I have 3 years of work experience, currently at my 3rd agency, and third associate position. Four people on my brand team have been promoted (across levels and departments, but none in PM). I'm getting sick of being pumped up with empty praise if others are actually being rewarded with accolades.
