Finally went to sleep doctor for initial screening. One of his questions was “Do you wake up feeling refreshed?” I laughed out loud

I have a client and very close friend who has gone to so many sleep doctors and none can figure out what his issue is. Good luck in your journey and if you find a good one that resolves your issue, let me know! I think he’s desperate and is even willing to leave the state at this point....

I wouldn’t say that I have a sleeping problem but I did sleep terribly last night. I’m also a night owl and cannot make myself consistently go to bed at a decent time 😫

I’m not a terrible sleeper but not great either. I recently started a nightly routine that has been working, albeit high maintenance. Lol
-Nothing to drink at least an hour before bed
-No blue lights (Phone and TV) 30 minutes before.
-Dim lights a little
-Listen to relaxing music or short podcast
-Lavender oil
-Earbuds and Sleepmask when ready to sleep
-Remark to myself how well I sleep every time I’m at a conference.

Anyone else here realized they have some alcohol moderation issues? I graduated college within the past 1.5 yrs and my friends are still in the heavy weekend drinking phase. I have realized I need to cut my drinking way down. I don’t drink every day and won’t crave a drink when I’m sober but it’s like once I start I don’t typically stop. I only drink about 2 times a week, but it’s the volume of drinks that’s the issue. I’m not ready to quit - just cut down a lot! Tips/advice appreciated! TIA :)

How would you handle not getting a lunch break when you are a salaried employee treating patients for 40 hours a week? I don’t get documentation time either, but all notes are to be completed the same day. Some of us have reached out to HR and we’re told to discuss it with the regional director, but the regional director says we’d have to come in early or leave late to block out a lunch break. My commute is an hour each way, so I’d prefer not to make my day any longer. Advice?

Hey! I’m new here and would like some input. I’ve been working in a new position for almost 5 months. In that time I’ve witnessed some unethical and lots of unprofessional behavior. I’ve been yelled at and berated by my coworker 3 separate times because of minor errors. I’m ready to quit. There are so many major issues in this company that I don’t know if I want to subject my mental health to this degree of toxicity. I just don’t know how to move forward from here.

Everyone has a different perspective on this but would love to hear yours. Someone has debt ranging say 4-5% interest rates. Do you attack debt more then investing to move towards a debt free life or do you go after investments since they return historically above that then paying down closer towards retirement. I know the latter looks better on paper but what about the psychological factors of being debt free and the guaranteed return on interest savings.
