It's all about the fit. They won't look good if the fit isn't right for your body, but yes I have them and wear them. I wore 2 last week and got compliments.
I got one that has a wrinkle-free stretch in it years ago from Banana Republic and fits like it’s tailored. I wear it tucked into slacks. Sometimes layered under a jacket or sweater. Maybe try some different fits in a store you like and ask someone who works there how to help you style it. Nordstroms is great for this since they’ll have dressier and casual options. BR and Express usually have these as staples if you like those places. I wear it like the pics below (except with a couple more buttons done &/or with a cami underneath). I hate the oversized ones because they feel frumpy.

I never liked them either until I found a satin one that just seemed to drape right on me. I managed to buy a bunch before the store decided to stop selling them but I'm hunting for a good replacement now
Ooohh thanks for the rec
Yeah same. They never fit right on me.
I wear them casually with jeans and sandals or flats. (Almost always with the sleeves rolled up, with buttons unbuttoned at the top and bottom, sometimes but not always tucked in partially or all the way). My favorites are Sezane and Frank & Eileen.
It’s all about your body type. I always look horrible in these and avoid them. Then I learned through the Kibbe body type system that my type should not wear collared shirts and it makes so much sense. Now I’m able to not even try to make these work and find a collarless or draped top instead. Huge timesaver!
