I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

Of course. Loyalty in advertising is an illusion. Go for it!
I can appreciate the love you have for your agency... but trust me, if the roles were reversed they wouldn’t think twice about cutting you
I've said this before and to be honest, I'm surprised an Account Director hasn't experienced this, but your agency isn't as worried about you as you seem to be about it. Do what's best for you. Come time for layoffs, your office won't care how disruptive it is to your life (or to the remaining team for that matter). Yes it is disruptive when someone leaves but there are others to take your place. Your company will be fine and you moving to a better job just means that those you leave behind have an expanded network.
Side note: I would love to be served up my dream job for a higher salary.
Amen
You said it yourself, it’s your dream job. I’d say go for it! I can’t imagine getting an offer from my dream agency and not accepting it.
Not sure why so many seem to be worried about the timing for the company if they leave. Yes, you don’t want to burn bridges but as some have said they wouldn’t think twice if roles were reversed
You will regret not taking it and always wonder what your career would be like if you had.
Take it and tell us what great agency you’re at so I can apply there 😂
I made a similar move a few months ago. All I have to say is: Relax and just roll with it. Just because you apply doesn’t guarantee an offer. You’ll have plenty of time to think about the pros/cons of taking the position if they offer it to you.
APPLY!!!!!
Go for it!
Three words: GO. FOR. IT.
As someone who just did the same, it is totally worth it! You will not regret leaving your colleagues behind - trust me the agency will live.
Is this just a humble brag masquerading as a need for advice? Take the job. Your agency will replace you.
Fair. This is my guilty conscience talking because I have it pretty good and I have a unique position at my agency. At this point in my career I‘ve seen enough to know the grass is not always greener even if it comes with more green, but at the same time I don’t want to have the regret of not considering a life-changing move. Looking to hear perspectives from others to make sure I’m not looking at either side through rose-colored glasses.
Seriously. Follow your heart.
From experience, if you’re happy somewhere be very cautious to rock the boat. It can be much worse, even if you think it’s your dream job. Perhaps just enjoy what you have.
Always apply!
For the record, I applied. The guilt is going to eat me alive, but I did it. 💪
Awesome!
